Hide and Seek: Finding Relevant Information

In this lesson, the teacher will partially model note-taking skills in a graphic organizer to determine key details and to synthesize all details to determine a central idea of a source. Then students will practice, in pairs, their note-taking skills for another source using tools such as highlighters and a graphic organizer. A rubric will be used by both the teacher and students to assess notes containing key details and central ideas from two sources.
