In this resource, students will apply 5th-grade language standards to using commas in a series. Students will start with a basic series and will progress to a more complicated series. Not only will students understand how commas separate items in a series, but also they will also examine how commas in a series add clarity and eliminate confusion. This resource includes a presentation, handouts, and supplemental materials for in-class activities.
