Conquering the Author’s Claim

In this task, students will participate in a slide presentation that provides definition, modeling, and practice to be able to analyze and interpret a text to determine the author’s argument. In addition to the presentation, this lesson provides a worksheet for students to practice finding the author's claim. The lesson can be used as a support to the Claim 4 Target 4 skill of selecting relevant evidence.
