Research: Interpret and Integrate

Students can engage in research/inquiry to investigate topics, and to analyze, integrate, and present information. This target focuses on locating information to support central ideas and subtopics that are provided and integrating notes into a central idea or key detail category. Students will gather relevant key details and explain how they support the central idea (or a given purpose) for a research task. Students will explain similarities and differences between key ideas, and they will interpret key details that are paraphrased from two sources to support one central idea or subtopics. Additionally, students will compare different points of view on the same topic.
