This lesson is intended for three 45-minute lessons, but it could be compressed, as needed. Students will review the mathematical vocabulary for algebraic terms and properties of operations with whole numbers in symbolic form. Students will apply their aforementioned knowledge to terms (i.e., number and variable) and use that reasoning to determine if expressions are equivalent.
