Perimeter Patterns

In this lesson, students will use their prior knowledge of finding the perimeter of a polygon to generate and analyze patterns. They will then explain apparent features that are not explicit in the rule itself when extending the pattern to distant terms.

Although this lesson can be taught in isolation, it is best taught after Totaling Tiles and before How Many Seats?
