Annotation with a Partner (Finding Poetic Text Structures)

Because text structure is how the author organizes the elements within the text/poem/drama, etc., it is important for the student to analyze what structure is used, for example, are the events in a sequence or cause and effect, etc.? This lesson will help students identify how text structure in poetry helps the reader comprehend the significant elements of the text and its greater theme or main idea.
