This professional learning resource is designed to introduce participants to the Smarter Balanced summative assessments. If you want to improve your ability to support students as they prepare for and participate in the end-of-the-year assessments, or if you want to learn more about the accessibility resources that are embedded in the assessments to support students, then this is the resource for you! This Smarter Balanced video includes a video guide and activities to support learning. Participants will complete a four corners activity to activate their background knowledge, watch a Smarter Balanced video, complete a video guide, and discuss the video and their responses. Options are also available for longer professional development in which participants will explore the Smarter Balanced summative assessment resources.
