The Sweet Spot: Drawing Conclusions

This lesson will help students understand how to interpret details delivered orally to draw a conclusion and identify the reasons and/or evidence presented to support it. Students will have a nonfiction article read aloud to them. During and after they will complete a Quick Write of specific key details that stand out to them from the article. Next, students expand on their thoughts and Think-Pair-Share their own ideas about what can be inferred based on the evidence they heard.
