Assessing Access

Assessing Access. A lesson plan to increase awareness of the barriers people with disabilities face.

Distance Learning Tip
Do an “accessibility inspection” of your Zoom classroom. Can it be more inclusive? For example—if someone has a hard time forming words, what are other ways they could answer a question without words? Use emojis, thumbs up, and/or pictures. What if someone has Autism and is anxious in a group? Create breakout rooms where they can have one or two buddies.
