Cinematography Unit
This is a three-part series in which students learn the technical skills and creative styling of cinematography. This unit is designed for 11th-12th grade students enrolled in Film Production 1 in Kern County with 5% RFEP or IFEP.
Over the course of three lessons, students will be introduced to three core design elements of cinematography and, with a small group, apply those design elements to short samples prepared in-class as video labs. Students will need access to cameras and video lighting equipment. All lecture components include guided notes for efficiency.
