Activism
Everyone can make a difference. Explore objects that tell the many stories of activism within our Museum collection! This collection is designed to spark conversations with children about activism and what children and adults can do to help make their communities, schools and the world better, more fair places for all people.
Try this:
- Pick 1 object and 1 photograph that stand out to you. Then, talk about them!
- How was the object used to tell others about something important?
- What is happening in the photo? How are the people working to make a difference in the world?
- Try creating your own sign or button pin inspired by the ones you see in this collection! Before you get started, think about this:
- What's something you'd like to see change in your community?
- Is there a problem that needs to be fixed?
- Are there people who should be treated better?
- Who or what is important to you?
- What is your dream for the world?
- What can YOU do to make a difference, fix a problem or help someone?
