This virtual exhibition is inspired by an exhibition of these objects on display at the White House in June 2021. The objects and stories in this collection share events, movements, and individuals from the LGBTQ+ community. LGBTQ+ Pride Month is celebrated each June to coincide with the first Pride marches, held in New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles from June 27 to 28, 1970, one year after the Stonewall Uprising. As you explore the collection and learn more about each person, consider how their contributions have impacted our world and how you can proudly be part of and support the LGBTQ+ community.
