Housing Discrimination in American Cities

In preparation for reading our first work, Lorraine Hansberry's play, "A Raisin in the Sun," you will have the opportunity to explore the world Hansberry lived in. Life influences art. In this collection, you will analyze several resources exploring housing discrimination to gain insight into its economic and social effects in the past and present.

Proceed through the collection from left to right. The first artifact is the black and white image on the far left. Click on the resource and then read through the information provided on the tabs (paperclip and circled lowercase i). Make sure you complete all of the "quizzes" (brain with a question mark underneath). In order to navigate to the next resource, you can simply use the arrows on the bottom of the artifact page.
