Blades and Metal Arts

One of humanity's oldest tools is still in use today in a basically original form.  Developing the technology to produce better blades spurred most of the world's technical advancements until the introduction of silicon. Some anthropologists think that the need to train skills in flintknapping and other technologies was a factor in human brain evolution. This collection shows how blade smiths used what materials they had, and developed amazing and beautiful  knives. And, the knowledge of metals also produced amazing artworks (which may have to become a 2nd collection).
