Midterm Project: 80s American Popular Music and culture
80s American Popular Music and culture.
In the 1980s, popular music was spread to general people dramatically, because of the rise of TV programs such as MTV. This event affected American culture and society. Especially, pop music culture strongly affected young people. Many of them imitated famous pop star styles. Music, which was meant to be listened to, was transformed into something to be seen and enjoyed and became the center of youth culture at the time.
