The Civil War was one of the great battles in American history. The fight between the union and confederate forces over slavery is still very significant to this day. The war was fought in the United States from the years 1861-1865 in which the union believed in ending slavery while the south believed in states rights to expand slavery. 

During the civil war period there were many new inventions and were many new tools that were invented in this time. These pictures below represent the Civil War period.
