Say Her Name: Native Women's Resilience

Say Her Name is a digital collection showcasing the talents, resilience, and efforts of various Native women in what we know call the United States. The way history is told in the United States often excludes names such as theirs. That lack of recognition in no way is indicative of their significance. Explore this collection to follow their legacies and support their work. The projects these women began continue today and need support. Say her name. There are people who need to hear it.

This project is in honor of the countless Native women lost to violence in the centuries of colonization experienced in the Americas.

Note: In no way is this project a comprehensive representation of Native women. Native American is a broad term that generalizes a massive, diverse group of people with specific cultures, languages, and traditions. Find out whose land you inhabit and the Indigenous people tied to your community.
