Woody Guthrie was an American singer-songwriter, and one of the most significant figures in American folk music. He wrote hundreds of songs that affected a lot of later musicians such as Bob Dylan, his music “This Land Is Your Land” was known as the second national anthem of the US, this whole song is full of political demands from the lower class. Woody’s songs are mostly aimed at workers, singing their appeals, life, and current affairs with strong protest sentiment. He was one of the greatest poets of modern American folk songs. Bob Dylan was undoubtedly the most influential figure in the history of the development of American folk music. He was affected by Woody Guthrie a lot, he was not only innovated folk songs, but also integrated the literature and social responsibility into folk songs, and gave Rock and Roll a new soul.#TUJBridgeFall2021Giarratani
