Famous Firsts: Women Who Paved the Way

This collection draws upon the K-8 "Drawing on Greatness" guide and features distinguished women and their contributions to American history. It highlights some women who were the first to gain recognition in their respective fields.

The collection includes brief biographies, vocab words for context, and object and portrait visual analyses. It also includes questions to think about and quizzes on each woman for comprehension. A final activity encourages students to contribute other "famous first" women they might include in this collection.

Interact with the collection to learn more about these great athletes, performers, and leaders!
