Kariann is loved by many students, teachers, and anyone who comes around her. Mrs.Schalk has a passion for not only teaching her students but getting to know them personally and connecting with her students. Unfortunately, Mrs.Schalk was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer right before the pandemic. One thing you will learn about Mrs.Schalk is that she is a fighter and doesn't take no as an easy answer. She fights for her students and everyone around her and she fought very hard and very well during her treatments. Mrs.Schalk's goal was to be back in the classroom with her students in 6 weeks rather than the 8 weeks they had her out. She pushed and pushed herself and made her 6 week goal right as the world shut down due to covid 19. Now in 2021 Mrs.Schalk is back in the classroom back with her students and making a difference in so many kids lives.
