Letters Home to Kennywood: Second World War
During the years of the Second World War, soldiers serving across the globe wrote letters to a local Western Pennsylvania amusement park, Kennywood. Read about their personal lives, war experiences, and memories of Kennywood in their own words-- through typed and handwritten letters in the collection.
This Learning Lab is designed for educators to implement local, primary sources in their classroom teaching. All Kennywood source material found here are housed in the Detre Library and Archives, Senator John Heinz History Center.
