This collection presents the history of African American representation on U.S. postage stamps. By examining African American representation on stamps, we can learn about important figures, major events, and culture from African American history, while also learning more about postal history. This collection does not include every stamp related to African American representation, but it does include a wide range of examples, from civil rights history to art and athletics.
