This collection contains an interview with Rose Thao. Rose Thao (b. 1999) came to Anchorage, AK, in 2007. She is the child of immigrant parents from the Hmong community of Thailand. Rose was born in the United States, in California, and she lived there for a few years before moving to Alaska. In this interview, Rose shares her experiences as a first-generation immigrant. She speaks on her move to Alaska, the challenges she faced, and discovering her culture and learning to love it.
