Artworks for Open-Ended Analysis
This collection includes adolescent-appealing artworks that invite a more general, open-ended viewing and analysis that may not be bound by a focus on a particular literary element. These pieces tend to be more abstract and to invite a more subjective and personal mode of meaning-making. These artworks could be linked to a print text by inviting students to consider how a character might experience them. This collection will grow periodically as I revisit the SAAM and other Smithsonian art museums and add new works. #SAAMTeach
