This is an activity in which students learn about fungus, how our Smithsonian scientists study root and fungus associations, and then they will dissect a mushroom gill and inflate a balloon with yeast fermentation. This unit includes a teacher guide, student worksheets, an activity booklet in Spanish and English, and a recording of the live event with our scientist as well as a recording of the teacher PD on how to use the science kit. Designed for middle school to lower grade high school students.
