Nazi Ideology | World War II and the Holocaust
This lesson is part 1 of a series of 3 lessons corresponding to the three episodes of The U.S. and the Holocaust. In this lesson, students will learn about the Nazi ideology of racial antisemitism and territorial expansion, and that World War II and the Holocaust were linked through this ideology. After the Nazi Party took power in Germany and began to invade other countries, launching World War II, millions of European Jews came under its control. Through film clips, primary source exploration, and survivor testimony, students will learn that the Nazis’ hateful and aggressive ideology had devastating consequences in the form of World War II and the Holocaust.
