How Can You Take Care of the Earth? | Rise and Shine: Science Time

2019 Arkansas Teacher of the Year, Stacey McAdoo, investigates and explores ways people can take care of the Earth. She displays the recycling symbol and explains that many different types of materials can be recycled instead of thrown away. Some examples she gives are paper, plastics, glass jars, and aluminum cans. She also explains that some materials can be donated, such as gently used toys, clothing, and books. To help solidify this concept, she guides the viewer through a sort of different objects, asking them if they would be appropriate to recycle, donate, or throw away. After watching the video, students can use the accompanying resources to practice using the skills they have learned.
