This video segment taken from Austin Revealed: Pioneers from the East, chronicles the journey taken by Joe Lung, a teenage immigrant from China who was sent by his family in the late 1800s to help build the railroads in the US and send money home. He and his brother migrated to Texas with the railroad work but Joe Lung eventually opened a thriving restaurant serving American food in the heart of Austin, the capital city.
