Surviving in the Wild | Rise and Shine: Science Time

2019 Arkansas Teacher of the Year Stacey McAdoo discusses how some physical characteristics help animals survive in the wild. She explains to students how fur, feathers, and scales can help animals in the wild. Before watching the video, teachers should discuss the vocabulary on the Words You Should Know teacher resource. Following the video, teachers can use the discussion questions to continue the lesson, and then, students can complete the Show What You Know handout where students will choose an animal and list how its covering helps it survive in the wild.
