Korean War Negotiations: A Costly Stalemate | Iowans in Korea

North and South Korea began negotiating to stop the Korean War in July 1951. The last negotiations that finally resulted in a cease-fire were at the end of July 1953. North and South Korea met four times over two years, a costly stalemate for both sides that ended in a 70-year cease-fire. Technically, the war in Korea has never ended.
