Tie Hack Heritage | Our Wyoming
Starting around 1915, Dubois, WY was home to a daring and tenacious group of hard-working men known as the tie hacks. They harvested logs from the surrounding forests to make railroad ties. Their work contributed to the industry that was, then, the lifeblood of the nation, and they gave Dubois its identity.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
