Let's Work It Out Lesson Plan | ARTHUR
In this lesson from the PBS KIDS series ARTHUR, students examine conflicts—what they are, what causes them, and ways they can be resolved. Students watch “Taking Sides” and talk about what the characters do, say, and assume to make the conflict worse. They take the perspective of one of the characters and role-play how to resolve the conflict, using a set of ground rules and negotiation strategies. Then they brainstorm solutions to the conflict, vote for the best options, and discuss how they might use what they’ve learned to resolve conflicts in the future.
