Pony Express | Outdoor Nevada

From the 5th season of Vegas PBS's series Outdoor Nevada join host John Burke and learn about The Pony Express and the route through Nevada. The Pony Express was a mail service delivering messages, newspapers, and mail using relays of horse-mounted riders that operated from April 1860 to October 1861 between Missouri and California. Students will view a re-enactment of a rider exchange, and discover the type of equipment used, the landscape of the Nevada route, and the perils the riders faced.
