From the 5^th season of Vegas PBS's series Outdoor Nevada, join host John Burke and learn about the Giuliani Beetle, which only resides in the Big Dune Recreation area's sand dunes Amargosa, Nevada. The beetles emerge from under the sand once a year, searching for a mate. We join the Bureau of Land Management, Nevada Department of Wildlife, and other biologists to witness this once-a-year moment as these scientists work to save this species from going extinct.
