Miss Penny and KidVision kids explore Technology through simple machines! These fun tutorials detail “how to” execute the STEAM activity, step by step, as well as the lesson behind it. 

The “Simple Machines” Technology activity allows children to practice the following Florida’s Early Learning and Developmental Standards for 4-year-olds (2017):

• Technology & Engineering. Children will show interest and understanding of how simple tools and machines assist with solving problems, as well as explain why a simple machine is appropriate for a particular task.

Materials needed:

• 3 game dice
• Calculator
• Pencil and paper (optional)
• Pamphlet advertising machines
