Black-Footed Ferrets and Prairie Dogs | EcoSense for Living

Sometimes called "the chicken nuggets of the prairie," so many creatures love to eat prairie dogs that it’s no wonder they’re always popping out of their holes to keep watch. One of the species that hunts them is the black-footed ferret—so rare they were thought to be extinct. Scientists and managers are working to save these two fascinating species that are so unique and dependent on each other.
