The Rocky Mountains stretch from central New Mexico to Northern Canada and hosts many kinds of ecosystems. It is a place that many animals call home, some live there year-round while others migrate to mate and raise young. The sandhill crane is a large, migrating bird that travels to the Rocky Mountains each year to breed.
