Watch video segments from the WyomingPBS video Fossil Butte National Monument and then complete a project based unit through the creation of a museum gallery. They will first need to access their prior knowledge and build on their current schema involving stewardship and fossils found in Wyoming.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- Students will understand the meaning of stewardship and what a National Park is.
- Students will compare and contrast the ecosystem of Fossil Butte National Monument currently to what it was 52 million years ago in its subtropical state.
- Students will report findings from a salt water experiment.
- Students will gather information on fossils as highligheted in the Fossil Butte video.
- Students will create a museum gallery.
