Norwegian Sølje | Worn Within

In this episode of Worn Within, Host Susan travels to Lanesboro, Minnesota, to explore Sølje, the traditional jewelry of Norway.

Sølje began as a protective piece, a silver bauble that protected children from being stolen in their sleep by trolls. As time passed, sølje became protection items for vulnerable times in your life. Eventually, the pieces became both status symbols and ways to tell your family and heritage.
