The Cabinet | Civics 101
What if you were making a decision that affected the lives of hundreds of millions of people? The President of the United States makes those choices every day. That's why there's a team of advisors called the Cabinet. The Cabinet includes the Vice President and the Secretaries of the 15 Executive Departments.
The Cabinet's role is to advise the President on any subject he or she may require relating to the duties of each member's respective office. The Cabinet, in political systems, is a body of advisers to a head of state who also serve as the heads of government departments.
