The Wrong Framework | Blackademics
The use of a Eurocentric historical framework allows people to ignore the oppression of non-white people by white people. Black people have experiences that do not connect with the stories told in schools about how the United States has developed. As society addresses racism, it is essential that Black history is taught as a distinct narrative to unpack the complicated stories of how Black people have survived and helped shape the United States.
