Tumamoc Biodiversity | The Arizona Collection
The University of Arizona's Desert Laboratory on Tumamoc Hill (also known as Cemamagi Du’ag, Horned Lizard Mountain, by the Tohono O'Odham Nation) hired student scientists from the university in 2019 to help with tracking the different types of flora and fauna on the property. The Desert Laboratory was established in 1903 by the Carnegie Institution, encompasses hundreds of acres, and has been an important Sonoran Desert research site for over 115 years.
