Daunnette Moniz-Reyome is an activist, model, and athlete who lives on the Umoⁿhoⁿ American Indian Reservation in Nebraska. In this video from Against the Current | FILMS BYKIDS, Daunnette talks with tribal elders and her peers about the importance of culture and sacred rituals while examining the ways her people are working to heal historical trauma, substance abuse, and mental health issues on the Umoⁿhoⁿ American Indian Reservation.
