The Savage Radley | Kentucky Studies
Shaina Goodman, known professionally now as S.G. Goodman, was born in Hickman, Kentucky, a town in Fulton County on the Mississippi River. A farmer’s daughter, she was a philosophy student at Murray State University when she, drummer S. Knox Montgomery, and guitarist Matthew Rowman formed the band the Savage Radley.
In the video, Goodman talks about her songwriting. “I have a responsibility to talk about hard things in the South. And to talk about the beautiful things and the good people that are here.”
