On the campaign trail, House candidate Lucy McBath discusses the importance of involving young people in electoral politics. Jay, one of her interns, relays the story of how he joined McBath’s campaign in part because of his mother’s encouragement. McBath and Jay visit a woman’s home, and Jay expresses the positive feeling he gets from door-knocking in Georgia. The woman tells Jake that canvassing is a great opportunity to learn more about both the U.S. and the state. We then hear from McBath who wants to specifically include young people in organizing, having them contribute to the process, shape their future, and build their own movement.
