Tune-up: Using Word Choice | Skills on Demand

When you are hanging out with your friends or family, you are probably informal in your dress, manners, and language. When you write for school or a job, you know that you need to use more formal language in your writing. In this short practice, students review how to identify formal language, informal language, and jargon and decide when to use each with a practice activity and a video featuring employees in a variety of industries discussing how they use word choice.
