Dung Beetles | Georgia Outdoors

Dung beetles, once worshiped by ancient Egyptians, provide an essential role for Cumberland Island's inhabitants. Dung beetles pull balls of manure into the sand. The nutrients from the manure provide food, water, and a nursery for developing eggs.
