Story Musgrave is best known for his 30-year career as a NASA astronaut. He is the only astronaut to fly aboard all the space shuttles from 1983-1996. He flew on six space shuttle missions and led the mission to repair the Hubble Space Telescope in 1993.
He’s also been a parachuting instructor, trauma surgeon, mathematician, mechanic, poet, and Marine. Musgrave can be described as a Renaissance man, a man with many talents in a wide range of areas. Such a person might also be described a polymath, a person of wide learning.
