San Gabriel Watershed | Conservation Series

Join us as we explore the San Gabriel River, from the mountains to the sea, learning about the unique ecosystems and urban areas that make up this watershed. In this video series, students will be introduced to STEM professionals that use their area of expertise to help conserve the San Gabriel River and the animals that call it home. Sally Gee manages conservation and restoration projects along the river, making sure it is accessible to both wildlife and people. Brittany Struck studies steelhead trout populations to hopefully restore this endangered species through conservation measures. Sea turtle biologist Dr. Jeffrey Seminoff shares what community members are doing to monitor green sea populations found at the lower parts of the San Gabriel River and what we can do to conserve this species.
